BOILER WATER TREATMENT

Boilers are steam generators consisting of two main parts: furnaces which provide heat through the combustion process of fuel and boiler water tubes, a device in which heat converts water to steam. This steam or hot liquid will be circulated out of the boiler for use in a variety of processes that require heat.

In general boiler problems can be described as follows:

• Crust and deposits caused by deposits of hardened mineral deposits. Impact: reduced heat, blockage of the blowdown hole.

• Rust and corrosion caused by oxygen content in water. Impact: will damage the boiler.

• Priming, the carrying of water in the steam, because TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) is too high.

• Carryover, bringing foam water into the vapour, due to high TDS (Total Dissolved Solid).
